UnLocked is a documentary / performance film about The People’s Music Collective, a Sussex based musical band whose members have a shared experience of mental health challenges.

We had the great privilege of filming the band in April 2021 as Lockdown in the UK eased. The film is a celebration of the creativity of the PMC who have recorded a remarkable 5 track EP over Lockdown through Zoom.

The film is a mixture of talking heads from the 9 band members and three Soundcastle facilitators as they discuss their creative process of writing and recording UnLocked during the pandemic.

Engaging, funny and incredibly uplifting, the film is a hopeful reflection on the difficult times we’ve all lived through since March 2020.
